This study was attempted to offer the foundationed materials for the improvement of the Syandards of living, by having a through knowledge of Korean Coast's pollution material in the physical and chemical aspect.
Domestic and industrial wastewater run into sea, in which most contaminants such as heavy metals and heavy solids settle down and build up bottom muds.
Therefore bottom sediments of sea are mostly containing various heavy metals which may influence aquatic life.
The main source of pollutants is domestic sewage and industrial wastewater. To manage polluted water, the following water quality protection methods are examined.
1. To sterengthen protection regulation to polluted sea and extend water treatment facilities.
2. To above polluting dicharges to water bodies and to manage effective environmental impact systems in the environmental sad urban development process.
3. To operate municipal sewage treatment plants.
