Abstract
The purpose of this study was to establish our elderly housing facility's provides a channel of future plan and to understand the actual condition of health care facilities as Intermediate Facilities in Japan. The result of this study was to find out health facility's characteristics and examine of shelter entry and exit as intermediate facilities. The long-term care facilities play an important part as a home reinstatement function and a home support function. The places of entry and leaving elderly housing and the period of duration are shown as the basic types and characteristics of the long-term care insurance after operating, in this study. The findings are as follow, first, the variables for the places of shelter entry and exit health care facility rate such as the hospital admission rate, home admission rate, leaving rate from hospital, leaving rate from home and rotation rates, are shown as the characteristics of facilities functions. Second, After Feb. 2000, the health care insurance operating the leaving rate from home is decreased 68% to 40%, and leaving rate from hospital is increased. Admission from home elderly rate is decreased 10% and admission from hospital is increased 10%. Third, Heath Care Facilities' admission rate in Japan is shown that the disable is higher than senile dementia for the Elderly. These factors found out in this study can be applied to establish a preliminary network for architectural planning and operating efficient domestic elderly care facility plans in future.
