The purpose of this study was to Identify the living characteristics of housewives living in apartment having a diversity of housing lifestyle by relating them to the perception of the kitchen and utility space and present the basic material necessary for planning the future desirable apartment kitchen and utility space, considered the aspect of the resident's use
The findings were summarized as follows
1) The housing lifestyle of housewives living in apartment was categorized into 'the type of compliance with the family-peace tradition', pursuing a traditional way and family life centered, 'the type of information pursuit', acquiring information through internet, 'the type of personality pursuit', seeking keen on fashion and change, and 'the type of contemporary convenience pursuit', pursuing the convenience of life and its pleasant' 2) As a visualized their perception of the kitchen and utility space of housewives living in apartments were classified into 'utility function orientation', 'multi-function orientation common to the family' and 'installation orientation'
