With the entry of the Republic of Korea into the World Trade Organization the architectural education in Korea is experiencing
enormous transformation both in it's curricular contents and length of study.
The following comparative analysis of the curriculum contents of the three european colleges of architecture - The Bauhaus
University of Weimar, Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus and Technical University Berlin - shows the recent
development trend of curricular organization in architectural education in the Federal Republic of Germany and delivers a
comparative perspective in shaping 5-year courses of study in korean schools of architecture in the near future.
