The purpose of this study is presents direction of public library's reasonable space programming by analysis information Factor's conversion process and systematizes information Factor's substance. For the purpose, extract information Factors from building basis plan of Seoul city public libraries and each similar contents grouping. The research result is as follows. Space programming is a process which sets the architectural design condition for get the building's goal. And space program must be recorded for following condition articles by clearly and cohesive words. At the first, the space standard for deciding the quality of the building which coincides with the purpose of business proprietor's object must be set up. Secondary, create a space list required in order to demonstrate the original function in which the building carried out the target. third, computed building scale. forth, decide the space zoning and circulation system by analyze the relation with the activity and the relation between activity and space, and the relation between space which occurs at a library. fifth, draw up space detail list as functional interpretation.
