This paper is to develop a digital manufacturing system for automobile parts industry by using commercial object-oriented tools. Object-oriented modeling techniques are implemented to analyze a damper assembly line. Bonding machine, which is one of resources constituting a damper assembly line, is modelled and its motion is simulated by using Delmia-IGRIP S/W. The simulated results are used as input data to model and simulate the damper assembly line by using Delmia-QUEST S/W. A new optimal assembly line is suggested to alleviate the existing bottleneck and increase productivity of the line.
