Most important purpose of enterprises is to satisfy customer's needs by a most efficient way that means effective strategy. The Just-in-time production system(JIT system) with kansans is a method to realize operations of effective strategy. Advantages of JIT system with kansans are to achieve high quality control levels by removing variations and to reduce cost of products through decreasing work-in-process(WIP) inventories.
The Purpose of this paper is to compare th performance of sequencing rules in decentralized kansan-controlled flow shops. Also this paper addresses the effects of different pull demands.
The results of this paper show that effects of sequencing rules and different pull demands in withdrawal kansan waiting time and total WIP inventory level.
