The laser is used in variable areas such as gingivectomy, gingjvoplasty, gingival recession technique, frenectomy, clinical crown lengthening, treatment of hypersensitivity, blood coagulation, biopsy, treatment of oral lesion (tongue lesion, leukoplakia, vesicle lesion, hematoma, precancer lesion etc.), tissue incision & closure, exposure of implant, etc. The laser surgery, when compared with conventional surgery, has many other advantage same as excellent hemostasis or a variety of use ect.
Especially, Nd:YAG laser have been used for surgical method to care of variable oral soft tissue because pulse type of Nd:YAG laser has advantages in terms of less surgery pain, hemorrhage, tissue damage, and noise. In addition, it is adequate for pregnant women. Children, and elder people who need special attention because of excellent effect on facilitation of cure and inhibition of infection.
The purpose of this study is to report removal of fibroma using ND:Y AG laser in OMF-S, dental college of Chosun University.
