This paper is to analyze ICT investment features and the effect of ICT investment on economic growth in East Asian countries using dynamic Panel methodology. According to the amount of ICT investment, we classify East Asian countries into two groups, which are the higher rank 5 countries including Japan, China, Korea, and etc. and the lower rank 5 countries including Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, and etc. From the empirical results,
we find that there exits a positive relationship between IT and economic growth in both groups and the coefficient of the lower rank 5 countries is less than that of the higher rank 5 countries. And the lower rank 5 countries have a positive effect of telecommunication on economic growth and the higher rank 5 countries have not.
