In this study, we try to calculate the basic wind speed in
different regions in Korea through the method of asympotic
distributions of the extremes and try to draw the basic
design wind speed map based on wind speed for 50 year's
return period.
Annual maximum wind speed used here is mean wind velocity
averaged 10 minute, and it is standardized homogeneously to
surface roughness category II, and to 10m height above surface.
Probabilistic distribution for annual maximum wind speed used
here is Type I Extreme Value Distribution (Gumbel's Distribution),
the unexceedence probability is calculated by Hazen's method.
