BUILDS is and integrated BUILding Design System(from analysis to
drafting) designed to meet the needs of the computer aids in
structural engineering practice. Among sub-systems of BUILDS,
BUILDS-F has the capability of detailed structural foundation
design according to user's foundation type selection. It can
design the foundation types of spread footing, combined footing,
wall footing, mat foundation and pile foundation. The data of super
structure are transferred from BUILDS-A and foundation types and
soil data are given by user.
The design capabilities has been illustrated by example of combined
footing and pile foundation.
