This paper is a basic study on the improved workability, reduced
bleeding, improved strength and improved durability of concrete
containing silica fume and steel-fiber, It is the aim of this
study to compare the results of the previous two experiments and
to analyze the fludity properties of fresh concrete and the
mechanical properties of hardened concrete of them as stated above.
The preceding experiments;the one about silica-fume concrete, the
other about steel-fiber reinforced silica-fume concrete. The former
contains silica-fume, the latter does silica-fume and steel-fiber.
After a through study, this type of concrete is required to be
considered the introduction of proper methods of compaction and
curing to make high quality and high strength concrete.
