The purpose of this study is to demonstrate resonable applications
of pressure coefficients and to summarize basic testing results
acquired by wind tunnel tests done in accordance with the
disposition of the high-rise apartments and the flow of the wind.
From the model tests observations have been made as follows:
1)Following the disposition of the models of apartments different
values of the wind pressure coefficients have been obtained, some
of which have shown locally larger values than expected.
2)The negative values of the wind pressure coefficients have been
detected in some places, where the wind is supposed to exert the
adverse effect on the building in every direction. The pressure
coefficients have also been measured as locally larger value in
corner sides by suction phenomenon of wind.
