The purpose of this study is to develop an analysis program for
space frames using simple input data.
For this, the idea of Formex Algebra is introduced. This is
particularly useful in describing the interconnection pattern
of the structures with a certain regularity i.e., double layer
grids, braced barrel vaults, domes, etc. In this paper, the data
(nodes and elements), generated by Formex Algebra is applied to
the analysis of a double-layer flat truss and a braced dome.
