This research is related to the fundamental approach to the
analysis of coupled shear walls. Two method have been adopted
for the computational analysis of coupled shear walls subject to
lateral loads ; the finite element method with linear strain
triangle elements has been used as accurate analysis method and
the frame analysis method as approximate approach procedure.
The comparison and investigation have been made for sample
structures by changing the stiffness of the connecting beams
and the coupled walls.
