The objective of this study is to investigate the load-deformation
response of the reinforced concrete H.P.shells, the crack
propagation through the thickness of the shells, the
elasto-plastic state and ultimate region of the concrete.
In order to achieve the objective, a material nonlinear
finite element program considering the effects of tension
stiffening of the reinforced concrete shell was developed.
It is concluded that the effects of the tension stiffening
have a significant influence on the p craking response of
the plate and shell structure when the tensin crack developes
in the concrete. And the curve model(Type E) provided the
best results among five proposed models.
