The purpose of this study is to give a foundation of
investigating the effects of NewYork5 on the Postmodern
architecture. To fulfill this aim, the similarities and
differences between the earlier houses of NewYork5 and Le
Corbusier' Villa Savoye are analyzed. NewYork5 is continuous
line of modern and postmodern architecture. It has close
relationship with Le Corbusier and still affects on the
Postmodern architects.
One of the essences in modern architecture form is to keep the
comprehensive recognition of the whole builing form with the
changing of viewpoint by invoking the people's intimation.
Therefore, in this study, how the relationsip between the inside
and outside was appeared in form is investigated as well as the
cladding system of NewYork5's houses could not keep the recognition
of whole building form between the inside and outside, as the cladding
system does not lead a movement and variation of viewpoint.
