Energy conservation in chilled water circulation systems
can be achieved by application of Variable Speed Pumps(VSP),
but it has not been used in domestic HVAC fields because of
some problems, especially in economical aspect.
However, in recent years, due to the development of industrial
technology and reduction of product cost, it can be thought
again that VSP can be used in chilled water systems.
So, this study is for the applicational possibility of VSP in
chilled water systems considering econmical analysis, and as
a result of this study, VSP can be useful without economical
problems, and if its mechanical problems are solved, it will
be more advantageous in chilled water systems.
