The desire of the height which is used as power, force
and historical symbols, acquired the true meaning of
when it is explained by architecture. This meaning
which is applied to the contemporary architecture is
the skyscraper. Since the Chicago immense fire has
razed in 1871, skyscrapers explained their design taking
the opportunity of Chicago Tribune Competition in 1922.
This study has the purpose of estimate the influence
of Tribune Competition towards contemporary skyscrapers
by analysis the entires of Chicago Tribune Competition
which was held in 1922.
