In this study, an area which has a group of tall building in a
city center consist of three buildings A, B, C is selected and
tested in a atmospheric boundary layer wind tunnel, and evaluated
by melbourn's criteria.
The result of the wind environmental evaluation around the buildings
re as follows;
In winter, the wind environment around two ends of the U shaped
buildings is quiet windy and will discourage pedestrian traffic at
times. The gap between L shaped buildings an C buildig has been
induced strong winds by venturi effect.
In summer, the wind environment around the two ends for L shaped
buildings and the right end of C building are evaluated
unsatisfactory.
